PROBLEM: DIRTY COILS

coil cleaningAIR PASSING THROUGH THE COILS contains microscopic dirt particles, as well as other foreign material. After a while, this debris builds up on the coil surfaces, making it more difficult for the coils to provide cooling. This increases operational costs. As an example, take a room with a brand new air conditioner. Let's say you wish to cool it to 72 degrees when the initial room temperature is 85 degrees. It may take half an hour to do so. A dirty coil is insulated, and it takes longer to cool.

In the example given above, it may take one hour to cool the same room with a dirty coil. This uses up twice as much electricity. Unclean coils (1) cause equipment to run longer, giving it more wear and tear; and (2) use up more energy than a clean coil, causing your energy costs to rise. Air conditioners are among the single most energy-consuming appliances in a building. Dirty coils often restrict air flow, providing less cool air to occupied room areas. Keeping coils clean is important, and should be done as needed. Most cooling coils (evaporator coils) are cleaned using an alkaline cleaner. Foaming coil cleaners are usually selected because after applied, they can push dirt that is trapped within the coils out of the interior surfaces of the coils. A few manufacturers call alkaline cleaners "non-acid" cleaners to make the user think that the product is non-corrosive to the aluminum coil fins. However, this is not true. The American Society of Metals Handbook shows both acid and alkaline materials cause corrosion of aluminum. Therefore, any acidic or alkaline coil cleaner must be rinsed off of the coils as soon as possible to avoid pitting corrosion of coils. Coil cleaning can be a labor-intensive process. Our two proven solutions for coils makes it easy to clean coils, and extend the time between your scheduled cleanings.

SOLUTION: INSTANT POWDER PACKS

Instant Powder PacksThe first powdered coil cleaner asks the question, "Why haul water?" Add our lightweight product to water at the jobsite instead. Forget about leaky gallons or waste. Instant Powder Packs is portion-controlled. Good for all types of coils.

One package contains six separate "Packs." You gain mixture strength by adding bags to your water. You don't waste money like concentrated coil cleaners by using too much right off the bat.

And freight costs? Why pay an extra $1/gallon and more just to ship water? We thought you just might already have water where you are. Instant Powder Packs are so easy to use and carry. They will change the way you work. With Instant Powder Packs, storage problems are gone. One package of six packs equals a gallon of concentrate, and weighs only one-and-a-half pounds. It fits easily on a shelf, doesn't leak, and doesn't separate. A service tech can carry a "gallon" of coil cleaner tied to his belt loop with no problem.

Shouldn't you be saving time and money with Instant Powder Packs?
